2017 CSA Farm ShareThis is our take on the CSA/Modified Farm Share. For this Farm share we are offering in a different type of way.
Instead of us packing a certain type or amount each week for you we are going to let you have the ability to choose from what we have available. No longer will you get 20lbs of potatoes, zucchini, or corn. You may pick and choose from our variety of field produce. A sample of some of this years available products will be beets, cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower, corn, cucumbers, pickles, peppers, squash, tomato, watermelon, eggplant, kale, spinach, Swiss chard, lettuces, parsley, cilantro basil, lavender and chives.
Along with our produce we will be offering fruit from our orchard and other farms as well. This will include but not too(blueberries, peaches, pears, strawberries, and of course apples)
Also we will be including our dairy products from Griffin Farmstead in East Granby as well. THis will include but not limited too(Chevre, Feta, yogurt, cheese curds, hard cheeses, milks, eggs)
And finally we are also going to be offering proteins from local farms/fisherman in CT. THings like beef, pork, poultry and fish. These may change from week to week when certain things are available
How is this all going to work?
A full share will cost $600 This includes all vegetables and fruits we have on premise.
A half share will cost $400.00
How do I sign up?
Download sheet below, fill out your information and which program or programs you would like to be a part of, send in or drop off application with deposit(non-refundable) to lock in your spot. These are going to be limited in our first year so spots will fill up quickly. Once submitted you will be contacted to make sure all information is correct and you are understanding of when time frames will begin and what you will receive as a bonus for being a member of the CSA farm share
When does it start?
Great question right. Well this is kind of determined by mother nature and her good will towards farmers. The plan is mid june through october of 2017.
How much is the deposit?
Full SHare: $200
Half SHare: $150
This allows us to have the working capital to insure we have your amount of product available and able to plan accordingly when it comes time to plant or harvest. This deposit is non-refundable, no exceptions.
How do I make a deposit?
We take all forms of payment(except American Express).
Credit card companies rates are going up higher and costing the small business person and especially farmers a headache. We would prefer checks and cash, but understand if people can't do that.
When is the cut off time frame to sign up?
We hope to have all applications in by May 15,2017. This means deposit and information needs to be received to Clark Farms at Bushy Hill Orchard. Remaining balances will need to be in by Sunday May 29, 2017. Any applications received between May 1- May 15th will have to be paid in full.
Members of the CSA farm share will also receive a 5% for all other things included in the store except Farm to Table cafe. This means you will get 5% off any other purchases not included within the CSA farm share program(including Ice Cream store)
Member pricing is 15% below retail pricing, this will include U-pick time frames as well. We are adding U-pick peach this year (2017). All others will be paying full retail pricing within the store
