The Bakery

Bushy Hill’s bakery is a source of wonderful, old-fashioned, farm baked treats. We are famous for our terrific apple cider donuts. We also make apple dumplings, breads, muffins, cookies and PIES!! Our pies are entirely hand crafted using the same ingredients that you would use at home. There are no chemical additives – just fruits, sugar, natural flavorings, salt, flour, pure vegetable shortening, and water. We also carry frozen, un-cooked pies. With each frozen pie, we supply simple, easy-to-follow directions for baking at home. Delight your family or guests with the savory taste and fragrance of a fresh-baked pie! Directions for baking our frozen pies: Do not thaw frozen pie! Preheat oven to 400 F. Lightly brush pie’s top crust with egg wash, or milk. You can also dust crust with granulated sugar for nicely colored crust. Bake a 10? pie 10 min at 400 F then lower cooking temp to 350 F and bake an additional 45-60 min. After 45 min, check if the fruit is tender by using a cake tester or toothpick. Bake a 6? pie for approx 40 min at 400 F To bake a frozen Pumpkin Pie preheat oven to 400 F and bake for 15 min. Reduce heat to 350 F and bake an additional 45 min or until a knife inserted into center comes out clean.
